Apart from these Tenerife attractions, one of the most interesting sights is certainly up El Teide – pronounced Tay-day - (the highest standing Spanish volcano at 3717m, which was last active in 1798).

Through the four different climates zones that span the volcano side, there is evidence of tried and failed banana plantations all along the way, mixed curiously with abundant and varied fauna and flora.

The mesmerising landscapes and awe-inspiring views gained from the highest vantage points (especially the summit of Teide which can be reached by cable car) are truly out of this world, with amazing lunar-like settings and lava fields shaping and characterising the landscape below.

It truly is one of the best things to do in Tenerife and comes well recommended by any who have had the pleasure of going.
