So where do I begin for hotels in Washington DC? Well unless you're going for just the day, you'll need a place to lay your sleepy head.(I guarantee you won't want to go for just a day. You'll miss way too much.) Of course if you want to stay in a big chain hotel like the Sheraton or the Hilton, Washington DC has those in abundance. But if you're budget has no room for such fancy-schmancy places, take heart. There are plenty of other perfectly nice places your family can stay without emptying your wallet at Washington DC. Places like Jury's Washington Hotel and Jury's Normandy. Clean comfortable rooms starting at $69 per night. Even less expensive is the Kalorama guest house with rooms beginning at $55 per night. Think bed and breakfasts exist only in small towns? Think again. Washington DC has the Swan House bed and breakfast right on New Hampshire Avenue.
